I will say that although it was a bit expensive to get the key cut and programmed to my ram 1500, it was well worth it side. Note i took the item to the dodge dealership where i bought the vehicle and the mechanics. There were not sure that it was going to work, but approximately 20 minutes later i was in my truck with a new spare key fob. Music took the key to the dealer and was warned id have to pay, even if the key didn’t work, i guess that happens sometimes with non oem keys, well turns out. No problem works as it should and for considerably less than the dealer purchased option about less. Thank you, Music. I brought the key fob to my local ram dealership to have the key program for my 2016 ram 1500 and it works 100. They even programmed the remote start on the x2 button and that works too. They did warn me at the dealership that the programming from a third party key fob, doesn’t, always work just make sure you have the correct fcc id for the vehicle before purchasing. I am so glad that i was able to do it. This much cheaper way versus buying through a dealership which would have been over two hundred dollars. Oh and it did come with the key inside valet key, which needs to be cut in order for it to work on the doors of the vehicle. I had worn out one button on one, my original remotes and the dealer wanted prices that made me choke picked this one up, bought alphobed and programmed the truck for this key and still came in under the dealer cost by nearly half works perfectly.
I had to pay my dealer 305 for a spare key, but with this key at least, you can ask them to program this at the same time for free that’s, what i did still paid the huge fee, but at least i got a few keys for th Price of one also, this key is lighter weight, so it’s not 100 as good, but it works.
