It worked just fine exactly what we needed. No problems, a perfect replacement for a bad looking original fob that was peeling in small holes at the buttons very easy to switch the circuit board into the replacement, and it fits perfect just pull apart by hand and just switch. The board and don’t even have to remove the board liner just pop it in and if you have just the cadillac emblem and not the reeds do like. I did and use the back from my original it’s made of good quality, hard plastic and works. Great highly recommend my dealership wanted to charge me almost 400 for a new remote with programming. After i told them, the fob works. Fine. It was easy to change out and looks just like the original. It looks exactly like the original split. The original case, as described in the owner’s manual for replacing the battery, swap the battery and circuit board over to the new case, and you are done. If you want you, can pop off the cadillac emblem and swap that as well. It is just glued on the original emergency key also slid straight into the new case, so you do not have to get the new one cut. This is a copy, i think, but if it is it’s a very good one, the rubbery texture that has failed on the oem key seems to be different, hopefully that’s for the better electronics fit perfect, as does the physical key buttons were flawless.
My emblem was different. So i wasn’t able to swap it over and how the physical blade of the key is held by the little handle is different as well. The original is held with a pin and the new one seems to be good. This is unfortunate because it would be easy enough to punch out the pin and put the d blade into the new handle, but it seems you may have to get the new wankai overall, i am happy with my purchase there’s no chance. I could get one of these from the dealer at this price: Music it’s, clearly not oem, but it’s. An excellent aftermarket replacement for the remote case, i’m thrilled with mine and just ordered a second one for another key Music.
