This is a great idea with not-so-great execution. 1/1/19 and the app has only been updated twice. De asemenea. You can’t change the temp on automatic climate control equipped vehicles. No heated seat controls. Nothing. Just on, off, rear defrost and that’s about it. The OEM key fob version of this does the same thing…without the ugly antenna on the windshield or the subscription price. Pass until Mazda gets their $h!t together…
My Volvo comes with this for free for 4 years and only take 15-20 seconds to start. All GM vehicles come with this for free, too.
Question: is the subscription fee necessary to remote start? Or, can I just have the remote start installed and then use a physical key fob to start the car instead of the app? Would like to have remote start, but screw that if it's a constant subscription fee.
the you take off in the car without the key fob on you and just the phone?
I'm sad because I have a windows phone and this won't work with it. I guess I'll buy a Toyota
they should put this feature start from 2014 Modele.
does this work for a mazda 3 gx 2016?
Owned CX-3 for two weeks, dealer nor myself can REGISTER the car and remote start with Mazda Remote Start. Deci, this new feature is so new, it cannot be used…….yet…. maybe soon. Plus there is a delay….. up to a minute, and the owner has to pay $65/yr for this……….de ce? This will turn some buyers off, when another manufacturer will have instant start and no annual fee.
don't they call this huffing—–ticket offense in Colorado
Been doing this with my Santa Fe and my Moto 360 forever now. It is a great feature….for free too😄
Or just install an aftermarket remote start/security, like Viper, and just stick with the key fob. It works up to a mile so you don't really need the phone. You're going to need to keys out anyway to drive it so the smartphone doesn't really add that much convenience.
Tell Nick that I don't have a smart phone. 🙂
Yeah so the govt can easily control my car? No thanks. RIP Michael Hastings.
Yearly subscription for remote start? Get out of here with your BS Mazda.
I have a Cadiilac CTS coupe and have been using thus Technology for 4 years now. The on star tech is way better than this Mazda junk.
OnStar does the same thing but doesn't even require a sub.
Emme my bathroom curtains look just like your shirt. No joke. You look absolutely delicious in it too.
I just installed a similar system to my new 2015 F150. It's a dealer installed accessory that I installed myself. It performs many of the functions this system performs.
The factory remote start is the same price and doesn't cost $60 a year. I'd get that instead.
i felt that it was too slow to connect from the phone to the car and it wasn't good at all.
