FIX’R CUSTOMS | Element RC Enduro Trailrunner Teller Motorsport
Um. The reason why it took a couple months is one because uh the body itself was pretty intimidating. I didn’t want to touch it for a long time. Two i needed parts to come in and i didn’t know what parts i wanted and three i don’t know it just. I really didn’t want know what i wanted to do. It’S a new platform to me – and i i just really want to do something cool a lot of things – were new and sort of intimidating, but um. I finally, you know decided to bite the bullet and do it and uh. This is the outcome. So the inspiration behind this, if you uh um, want to know, if you can, google it it’s called heaton motorsports, they did a jeep and it’s modeled after this i’ll see. If i can, you know, maybe link a picture insert a picture somewhere but um the color scheme was, you know pretty much this and i sort of took that and ran with it and you guys if you ever watched any of my other videos before you know A fan of the sun’s anarchy um. I just watched the series again for the third time so that was sort of on my mind. Deci, as you can see here, it says: teller motorsport after you know, jax teller, and then you got all these logos. You know fox suspension method wheels which it has um ballistic fabrication. We have the diff cover on it and then there’s things like mopar magnaflow, because it’s uh it’s a jeep in the exhaust and all that we have some scale accessories from traxxas like jerry, can and um jack in the back here.
This is a element, um roll cage for one of the one other trucks, and i actually cut it and modified it for for this application. This truck, which i didn’t even mention, is a element enduro trail runner so, am spus, it’s a new platform to me. I’Ve been running or having tons of traxxas cars tons of axle cars over the span of being in this hobby, and this was new to me. I like the idea that it was a scale rig with ifs in the front um, so yeah, so that’s uh. The reason why i picked it up because new and also like i said, like kind of a new challenge so let’s, go through some of the stuff, the parts and all that and then we’ll take a closer look at the body and uh take it from there. ok, so we’ll take a look at the front here. This is a um, a bumper from rc four wheel drive that was uh, i think created for that 610. 2. Possibly i modified it. I fabbed up this little aluminum plate here to be able to mount that traxxas led bar, which is you know, powered by the traxxas uh control, module lighting control module here, um it’s being run on the hobby wing ax system and that’s pretty much it so. The servo stock, the shocks are stuck Music, i did buy the team associated the factory shocks, but then it didn’t end up going with this color scheme, so i didn’t use them added some of the gold washers just to play off the body, and then we have The ballistic fab diff cover and then i had modified a bumper from this – is actually a front bumper from the kit that i that came with uh the truck, and i just shaved off the uh bar here and put in the back, painted it right to coat The body so that’s pretty much all all the truck here, the shock um.
Sorry, the stock muffler is here. What i did was take about. I don’t know a centimeter or so out of this and shorten the length, so it didn’t stick out the body too too much because the jeep body um the 110 jeep body for crawlers and stuff like that, is really narrow and uh. It doesn’t really fit these chassis really well. Now that i think about it, i also had to take about a centimeter off of the sides here in order to tuck the um, the side, rail guards here closer to the body, but other than that. I think that’s really all the modifications that i did. I can’t think of anything else or see anything else off. The top of my head um wheels are incision method, brace wheels and tires. Are the smaller um bfgoodrich sorry, goodyear, wrangler, mts uh from rc four wheel drive, so it’s got a smaller stance than normal 110 scale crawlers, but a little bigger tire than the actual 1.55 that comes on the stock. Rtr trail runner. So now here’s the body. This thing took probably three days to sort of build, uh or sorry put together. One was cutting out decals, laying them down figuring out paint scheme and all that last minute touches and all that with the camo. But overall i think it turned out pretty well. We got some of the logos. Like i mentioned earlier method. Ballistic fab, magnaflow mopar came up with the teller motorsport mimicked, the um heaton motorsports logo.
Like i said fox on the rails. Here, it does say, element rc, it’s kind of hard to see, but in up close you can see it on the roof there. We got gold 82 for the racing number. We have another 82 inch in chrome on that fender and then on the driver’s side. Fender. We have my custom logo there in gold paint uh. I would say most of these things that you see here are all pink um. The roof has been opened up to sort of again mimic the heat motorsport jeep and in the back we got a larger method. Race wheels, logo and then all with it – and you know some pinstripe or gold striping black outlining and then we have some accents with black camo digital camo stuff overall happy what it turned out. Oh again sounds anarchy right. I can’t forget that that’s all paint as well so that’s a look at it and hopefully i’ve. Given you something to think about, if you’re thinking about you know a new project starting new project or dabbling in some new methods of painting and things like that, because, după puteți vedea, if you have the time and you have sort of the right tools um, But the things that you can do with these bodies and these trucks are are great, and you know you end up doing these one off one off pieces, um that really, you know, reflect your personality and things you like and and all that.
