Element Trailwalker C1 Test and Review
This isn’t a new vehicle on the market, but you know it’s kind of new to me so we’re going to take a look, take it for a drive. He said. Let’S get this thing opened up, hmm looks good, looks good, looks, good, looks like it’s got the same tires that my trail runner looks. Good looks good all right. Yeah all right looks right, yep, metal shocks, all right got some overdrive, yep, yep, yep, yep, all right looks good. Хорошо, i see they got the uh little garage, Хм, really all right i’m going to be doing some repairs already see here. Хорошо, i’m gon na take two hands all right. Yep same tires. It is actually zipped out to the box transmitter all right. We have a manual, we have a bind plug. We have this thing. We have body posts in case you want to put a trail runner body. Также, you got the gears to change the overdrive, that’s nice door mirrors. I will leave those from mark and there’s. The radio kind of reminds me of something you get with a rc four wheel, drive truck, but all right, let’s get this body off all right. I’M glad i didn’t just yank that, as it turns out, this piece goes right here and actually holds that on, but the screws i used were incredibly too short, looks like i’m gon na fix that oh no, the screws were actually fine, it’s actually physically broke huh.
Um mark there may be some glue on this thing by the time you get it. Хорошо, let’s get a good peek at this chassis. All right transmission, i’ve, seen before esc yeah, um drive, shafts i’ve, seen those before pretty easy Music kind of stiff back here on the axle standard issue, let’s see the front axle all right, let’s see what we got here, maybe a little bit of bumps here on That, but not enough to tell now it does have behind the axle, steering so that’s, pretty neat to power this up and see what it’s got here all right now, we’ll tell you this there’s a lot of angle on that front: drive shaft as long as they’ve Got it phased right? It should be all right, so okey, dokey let’s get some power on this thing. Okay got it turned on. We got some red lights. Transmitter is on mm. Хм, am i gon na have to bind the receiver right out of the box? Хорошо, that’s kind of uh, not cool, well i’ve tried the instructions about 10 times cannot get a bind on this at all. Хорошо, Хорошо, i guess we’ll deal with that when we get to it, but i’ve got another radio that works. Я буду. Put that in well! Эй, Эй, hey got it now all right, let’s hit that steering a little bit probably have to go through my end points and all that, but you know what this means right.
This means i got ta fix that grill and get this thing outside there. It is in all of its glory now. With these tires. This is a class one, so i’m gon na drive it accordingly. Now i’ve got the gt5 on it and uh. I do have some expo. У меня есть 40 expo forward and 50 expo reverse so i’m gon na try to not scratch up the body, even though he says i could just beat on it. Try to take it easy. This is 3s by the way and moves along pretty good. I guess i mean if you’re on a trail, you don’t need it to go much faster than that anyway, because you’re not going to run that fast right turns good, get that overdrive in the transmission. I also failed to mention when i was looking at it. It’S got universal joints in the front axle, так что это, always a nice thing to see there we go, you got to give a little bump, i’m sure he’ll have a bumper or something on the back of this quick. I do not want to roll it. The steering servo seems adequate i’ll head right on off of this. This part here may be a little bit tough for it, but uh let’s see what it’s got here. These tires being small straight axle. Definitely gon na have some hang ups, but you know you never know until you try it right. A little hang up right there on the back axle.
Not bad, though definitely got some fender rubbing. So if you want to put large tires on this, you’re, certainly going to have to do some fender thing. Wow that’s got to get laid right here. That is a horrible diff catcher right there don’t roll it don’t roll it. There we go got some tire deflection. Oh yeah, i’m sure mark’s gon na get some bumpers on this thing. There might be one in the package i don’t know. Oh sorry, mark at least it was soft and we now continue. Oh you kind of get spoiled. Sometimes, when you’re driving, you know massively modified vehicles, you know so you kind of get stolen. Sometimes when you get on the line like this you’re like why, why did that catch me, and i was like well: Хорошо, То есть. Why well let’s go ahead and give it the test, the big nasty test? , да, we can see those headlights got to go easy now from what i’ve seen vehicles like this tiny tires, and all that they’re usually really good on side hills. We’Ll have to see if this one it’s – oh that was about to go over, certainly got some tire rubbish. Now we got the crack of doom. I kind of have my doubts about this one, but you know i have seen other class ones complete this. So bumper probably going to catch me there, if i can get the back end to come down, bring that tire to catch just right around that bumper, the bumper is definitely a hindrance right here.
Sorry again mark okay, now we’re just simply going to start it right here and let’s, see here now, with the trail runner, i was actually impressed with the stock tires, actually done very good. Хорошо, we’re just simply going to go up right here now. I would have been more surprised if it would have actually got across the crack at home than what we just saw, но в любом случае, now we’re going backwards. Let’S take it off. The rocks now get some wood action going here, and these woods right here can be a major killer for a vehicle like this got all kinds of pine straw. Down into this, all right got that. I want to clear the pine straw out. I don’t know what this body is supposed to be it’s kind of, like kind of like one of those um non licensed bodies that they’re just kind of blended a little looks like maybe some cherokee, some chevy. I don’t see much ford in here, but it does seem like a blend of a few bodies to keep it from being licensed. And although we do like you know more scale, replica bodies, this actually with it being unlicensed, helps you get the truck because they don’t have to pay licensing fees which adds to the cost of the truck so and it does have lights. So that’s always a good thing. Slider seemed to be working good, so you could be sliding you don’t want sliders that hang up and that’s getting a little windy now.
This right here can stop the vehicle, quick if you don’t hit it just right, looks like i got it, or so i thought: Хорошо, another pine straw, clean up and we’re off again or so. I thought there we go got ta pick the right line with small tires. Oh look at that nice little flex shot yeah. Мне нравится. Oh look at that. Hey it’s got a little bit of a forward bias to it. Doesn’T. It came right on down ooh there we go nice, wow, есть, all kinds of nice shots on that all right. Let me get in a better position, and here we go. Control feels good stock motor seems, Хорошо, it’s not overly fast or incredibly strong, but it seems like it’s, Хорошо, Конечно, when you’re bundled up you’re, certainly going to be changing that out. If you replace a stock motor with a stock motor comment down below because i’m curious as to why you do a stock motor replacement versus you know something like home, which the uh can motors of steel, inbuilt cam motors from homes? Are you know less than 20 dollars so i’m, just kind of curious as to why oh, my c hub is actually caught there we go. Sliders are working great, Эй, Эй! Look at that Music! Hey got my glasses i’m. Looking oh, been looking for those. So the trail walker, Я думаю, it’s a great class one truck. It has potential to be pretty darn awesome.
Очевидно, electronics would have to go. You have to get something a little more stronger, a little more control, either a homes, home system or the ax system. Очевидно, a better servo i’m, not sure if they got the hard plastics for these, they probably do which it should come on the darn thing really but anyways. As far as the radio goes, i don’t know if i’ve done something wrong. I would swap this body out, Хотя, for something a little more legit, but regardless, Я думаю, это, a good truck in that description.
