Boats pretty much anything that moves on the surface or in the air, mainly because i was just curious. How any changes that we made to the car and uh the actual speed for running different types of battery motor gearing just to get an idea of the changes. More like a scientific experiment, so this device here, which i’ll show right now is fairly small. It can stick on to probably the chassis is the best space place to put this device onto your vehicle. I do have a little bit of double side tape because i was using it in my tamiya hornet to get an idea of how fast uh the vehicle goes, and it has a feature that i really like the uh feature on which i’ll go over a moment. Is peak which uh essentially records the it will tell you what’s the top speed for your actual run. So if you’re running a vehicle, let’s say for five minutes and um, you know the first few minutes, you’re doing let’s, say 25 kilometers an hour and then um. And then you know the last few minutes. You go faster, let’s, say 30 kilometers an hour. So it would say the peak or top speed is 30.. This is good to see what the top speed of your vehicle overall so it’s, a very analytical way of measuring what the actual speed of your vehicle is instead of guessing so on. The website here for skyrc just gives you an overview.

So here what measure top speed average speed and top altitude? So altitude, of course, is more for drones and planes and so use gps, of course, to measure your position and speed built in one meg memory, and it also has a feature which here’s the comes with rechargeable battery 200 milliamp uh lipo battery, which is good so Also for people use metric or imperial so kilometers or miles an hour or, for example, and also i haven’t used this feature yet, but i will try the pc link. So, apparently, you can download a map like bing map and it will map your overall trajectory or uh displacement, or you know where you, the car or plane, uh, actually travel on the map, which is uh. I think a pretty cool feature. I haven’t uh done that, but it will explore that of course supports pc and mac, so so what it comes with. So here is the the manual pretty straightforward. The box comes with the micro usb to charge the device and also link to your pc using it’s fairly simple, so you have the power button there so hold it for a couple of seconds. It will take about probably 15 to 20 minutes to link to a gps link to a satellite. So now the battery says about two thirds full and eventually you’ll see a satellite icon there, meaning that it’s ready uh while it’s doing that you could change the top here, toggle different mode, so you hit it once as per the menu.

Oh yeah press harder, so that gives you actual speed and then the next thing here gives a peak now that’s the feature that i like because give you your top speed of your run and then average. Of course, your average speed your altitude if you’re flying uh peak altitude, uh trips, distance, travel and uh, i think that’s, the uh. You coordinate the time and then back to where i left off your actual speed. So you’re going to see a video of um, this one running in my tummy hornet to uh test how this thing works and what the reading is for the top speed of the hornet. So here is the gps mountain on the hornet. I use a little bit of a double side tape, so it doesn’t move as well. It’S mounted on the chassis and the body will go over. So if the car rolls it’s not going to do any damage – and you can still read the reading easily through the window or on the side itself, so it’s mounted not too securely but securely enough, so that it doesn’t move. So here you can see a reading of five kilometers an hour and that’s, because um right after with the body i walk to the end of my driveway and that’s. My speed walk and here is just a little warm up, uh running just uh back and forth. Two or three times, but not full speed, just to kind of gain a little confidence and um just to uh to get ready for the top speed run, as you can see a moment, the speed, so here, as you can see, the warm up is about 32 Kilometers an hour peak speed so that’s the top speed that i was running during that short stretch.

So now that the warm up is over i’m, just running it back and forth as straight as far as i can to get an actual top speed, so probably want to run back and forth about two or three times just to get uh the actual top speed. Now your top speed, of course varies for a few things: the surface, your uphill downhill, the wind charge, life uh, how much charge left in your battery etc, but going back and forth a few times should give you a fairly good representation of the car top speed. Music, so now checking the top speed of that little run and as he, the top speed was or the peak speed is 37 kilometers an hour which is not too bad, so here’s. The second speed run similar to the first one, go pretty much as far as i can back and forth a couple of times at least two or three times so that the actual peak speed is recorded, and so in case of some surface issues of the road Or some errors, but going back to the coins and you’ll eventually get to the actual top speed that the car can do, which you will see in a moment, Applause. Well, as you can see, the top speed of the second run is 37 kilometers an hour, and that would be the top speed of the hornet, as confirmed twice once again, thanks for watching hope.
