i've seen them on Ebay for like 15$ and with more color combinations, not sure of quality
That blinking/mode setting could be used to simulate a flickering TV picture for when you're not home.. to fool burglars and ne'er-do-wells.

This is a really cool product. I clicked on the link in the description, but it doesn't look like what you reviewed and I didn't notice a remote. Do you have to buy the remote separate? The bulb is $12.99 for 1 and about $22 for 2.
