A little bit nervous in running in this, but we’ll see how it gets on we’re going to be fixing one of my one, two four zero one nines, which is obviously taking a little bit of a hit. We got some new pin tyres on the recommendation of fog city rc to go on the low seat mini b, to see if we can improve the grip on loose dirt and it’s also going to be time to say goodbye to an old friend very soon. But i need to shut the gearboxes working first before i sell it well. First up, i would say, throughout this video, wherever possible, gon na do a quick run test with the cars when i finish, fixing them just check. Everything’S working all right and you’re gon na see that in this video first up, we’ve got the traxxas rally. One of my favorite best handling cars, but i kind of lost something fairly key for it, which of all the stupid, but key things to lose. Was the battery tray strap on there. However, this car is running with a 4s armor setup, so i do want to fit a larger battery in there. So i’ve replaced the battery tray, but with the x version 7426 on here, which allows me to put bigger capacity batteries in there or with the new battery tray, strap and fixing. On this end, it easily holds my power hobby 4s packs on here under a tearing.
So i think we should get some wheels on test this baby outside well time to say goodbye to the fitting of the db homes to this car. So the 70 mil hexes can come off. The stock traxxas tires are going back on wheels on shalom time to see if it all still works. Oh yeah well we’ll be running this again in anger later on this week, but 4s is about the best balance for this car when it’s on it. It is absolutely on it. Well, it is actually much improved, but he tracks the stars on for more control of all the db hoons on that little click shows you just how much this car is with a 4s conversion on that we’ll track. This make a 4s car like this let’s, keep our eyes open and see, but moving on we’ve got the lossy super rock right on the bench steering knuckle broken on this car, but i should think a cross be a fairly easy fix. I’Ve taken this thing flat out at 50 miles an hour over like eight inch, rocks, never broken a thing on it. Talking about jumping with fox city, one bigger jump, lands, bang front suspension gone, but the moral of that story is when you buy a rock racer. Just race it on rocks and you can see there, we just got a nice clean break on the arm, but that does appear to be all that’s damaged, so we’re just time to replace this part and then back to it.
Well, just a couple of minutes to take the arm off, put it back together, you can see why the thing is so tough and strong on there. The amount of hardware holding it all together outstanding all back together wheel back on time for a quick test outside not a problem. If it’s dark, though not with those led lights, thought for the day is a s power on something this big a bit excessive around. My yard, oh, i think that would be a yes there rich now bear in mind this thing’s ferocious and see just how much it kicks up at the front. There spin all four wheels on here, probably not that sensible for this amount of power in the dark. Now the one thing i would say to anyone considering getting one of these, it doesn’t really do nice in terms of that throttle delivery at all. It is full on in your face, brutal well celestia super rock ray back to its fierce and best. If anyone wants to see more of this car running, then do have your send a comment section below the video. This is probably one of the cars i run the most when i’m out on my own, with the cameras turned off because it’s one of the nicest cars i own to drive next up we’ve got low c db xle. This is the v1 version, as opposed to the v2 version not been on the channel for a little while, but once again in my spare time i drive this probably just about the most out of any car out of there, because the thing is an absolute beast: Whether it’s flying along the ground or doing some insane stuff in the air now a short while back around this on 12s 12s was too much power.
The tires were just like ballooning instantly very hard to put the throttle down on it. Indeed, it also took a very bad landing at the rear of the car busted, something what i thought might be the diff and thankfully it wasn’t the diff to what it had done, though, is on the rear shaft. It had snapped two of these pins completely off i’m, not sure if that was the power of the 12s or that landing that did it the knock on effect of that when it bent the chassis, it bent those rear body fixings forwards, like that, which meant when I fitted the new driveshaft to the car, came to fasten the body down and there was like a two centimeter difference between where the body posts were supposed to be and where they actually were in relation to the body. So i have to do the minor job of taking the whole of the rear of the car off, putting the chassis plate flat on the floor and very gently smashing the heck out of it with the sledgehammer. So anyone that thinks running the rc car channel is simple. Think again when i’m, putting it all back together. Again, i notice one of these pins at the on the darn front. Shaft is broken as well soiled or another one. Unfortunately, not this one, which is the right one. I ordered the version two one by mistake, which is quite a bit: thicker doesn’t fit this card so anyway that’s my lossy db, xle problems explained so now time for richie to fit this shaft of the car, but that’s gon na take a little while so we’re, Not gon na see this one running again in this video, but it is going to run down at shell sands very very soon, indeed, with the new xlx2 esc running, which fingers crossed won’t catch far like kevin’s did and next it’s time to work on the wl Toys one two: four: zero one: nine plus the steering knuckle on a bit of a tumble i took on there got a couple of replacement steering knuckles, so let’s get those on.
If people are wondering why i’ve been filming quite a bit of this car recently it’s just because it’s a very good car, plain and simple well, you can see the damage here, snap completely. In half on that it tumbled side to side it was. It was rolling on its side as opposed to barrel rolling and over end, but should be fairly quick fix, just two screws to remove one top one bottom and one on the steering arm here: okay, wheel off hex, off control, arm off, so remove that that’s got The existing, bearing still in it, but this new one, comes with a set and to anybody thinking about changing the steering knuckles. This is the old bearing on the left that’s, the new one, so it’s substantially stronger in nature as well, so i’m gon na get the screws out with me. Smart screwdriver. Definitely one of the best tools i own now i’m glad the new steering knuckles come with four new screws. Let’S just check out that one on the bottom there that took a heck of a beating – and i would just point out that’s the simple part of the job, the devilish part of the job. When you try and put this part back onto here, this top one will repeatedly drop out driving you absolutely crazy. So you need to turn the car on its side to put the steering knuckle back on, and that is probably the trickiest part of the job, which will involve quite a bit of non child friendly language, exxon wheel back on time to rinse and repeat on the Other side completed well that is this wltoys one, two, four zero one! Nine now fully working again.
This brush’s version has already done 104 miles an hour, but i have converted another one of these to brush us with a higher spec than this is, which should run again in the next couple of days. So do look out for that video next up. We have the low c mini b, which my friend john from fox city, lc, has recommended. I’Ll fit pin tires to the back of the car because, while that thing handles great flys through the air lands like a dream corners like it’s on rails, first just don’t get enough grip off the line like once it’s moving it’s fine, but standing start grip. It just fishtails all over the place, horrendous to drive, but once it’s rolling, absolutely fine, but anyway let’s take a look at the pin tires well. These are my new pin tires that my friend john from fox city rc, recommend i needed a video where he did the before and after test with these tires compared to the stock tires on their night versus day on the car. So that was pretty much a no brainer to fit these to the car. So let’s see how they look on, and i would say, though, that these stock rear tires, give an excellent amount of grip on blacktop or tarmac, but they’re not good at all. On low scrabble and or they’re, not until at least you’re moving forwards with some speed, but i recognize with its race car heritage, it’s going to be very sensitive to tour choice depending on what surface you’re running it on.
So these stars aren’t always going to be the best for it, but then neither are these well, i have to say, even stood still. They look the absolute business and i know they’ll – do the job of any watchful city rc’s video on them. Unfortunately, this car is going nowhere fast today because of this, this side at the rear. Absolutely fine, this side – uh, oh, oh, oh, this shot blew out on a hard landing and i’ve got some aluminum ones on order, but they’re not due until mid february. The aluminum, upgraded ones are only about two dollars more than the plastic ones, which are also out of stock, pretty much everywhere. So i couldn’t see any point in upgrading the plastic ones. When this blew out, i screwed it filled it full of oil screwed it back. In and they all just leaked out everywhere so once it’s blown, it just seems to blow and i’ve looking online. Other people seemed about the same issue with it. So once the shocks blow on the thing that’s it and i’ve been test driving it with that shot. Busted and the stop tires on, i can tell you: the handling of the car goes out the window once that damper was blown well there we go now. You know the sort of thing i’ll see guys get up to when it’s raining. The trx6 behind me is gon na have to wait for another day as there’s a little bit more work involved in getting that back up and running and time is ticking on.
So what have i got coming up this week? Well, for one thing, i’m going to be running the other brushless version of this car very, very fast indeed, fingers crossed i’m also going to be running the armor felony on some of the new gen taste bashing, batteries which look like they could last for a full Hour, but we will wait and see because i can’t see their toes lasting that long well thumbs up.
